THE AMAZING AMAZON-AGEDDON
As ever, we are being played. We may wish to ask why and by whom. Everywhere I turn I'm being told there are "unprecedented wildfires in the Amazon." This is shared around while a cursory Google search reveals fire season being a totally normal annual occurrence (and knowing that much of the planet is always burning at any given moment.)

[NASA is not a climate change-denying, Conservative thinktank.] I'm being told that "fires in the Amazon are 80% higher than last year." This arrives while we can find readily available and reputable sources showing the last eight months have seen lower than average fires, only this week has there been a spike, and the fire season has just started – a season in which, in every year we have data, there have been far more fires and of greater severity than what is presently burning.

This is said when every news outlet and celebrity Instagram account on the planet is reporting and sharing this (non)event. The BBC, CBC, and CNN all have articles going back a week or more. Further still, much of what I'm seeing is pretend:
