“ISRAEL STRIKES GAZA AFTER TRUCE EXPIRES”

NO CEASEFIRE

November 1st

Hamas official Ghazi Hamad stated that Hamas would “repeat the October 7th attacks time and again until Israel is annihilated.” He continued, “We are victims - everything we do is justified … Israel is a country that has no place on our land … That nation must go because it poses a military and political threat to the security of the Arab and Islamic countries and must be destroyed.” In a televised speech the same day, Hamas chairman Ismail Haniyeh said that if Israel agreed to a ceasefire and opening humanitarian corridors into Gaza, Hamas was "ready for political negotiations for a two-state solution with Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine.”

November 3rd

Benjamin Netanyahu stated Israel would not agree to a ceasefire unless Hamas releases all hostages.

November 6th

Both Palestine and Israel rejected international calls for a ceasefire.

“OPERATIONAL PAUSE”

November 22nd

A Qatari-brokered ceasefire was agreed to that would come into effect on November 24th and last until the 27th, involving a daily prisoner exchange of 10 kidnapped women and children for 30 Palestinian prisoners.

November 27th

Qatar announced the ceasefire agreement would be extended another 48 hours.

BROKEN TRUCE

November 28th

Hamas attacks on IDF: “Over the last hour, three explosive devices were detonated adjacent to IDF troops in two different locations in northern Gaza, violating the framework of the operational pause” according to an IDF spokesperson. Hamas TV channel al Aqsa quoted spokesperson Abu Obaida saying, “As a result of the enemy violating the terms of the truce today, there has been a field clash today and our mujahedeen dealt with the violation.”

November 30th

Truce extended one day as Hamas gunmen attack bus stop and launch rocket: Sixteen Israelis were wounded and three killed when two brothers (both previously held in Israeli prison) opened fire with a handgun and an assault rifle on morning commuters at a bus stop in Jerusalem. Hamas took responsibility, calling the action “heroic” and the men “jihad-waging martyrs.” Hamas said “The operation came as a natural response to unprecedented crimes conducted by the Occupation” and appealed to Palestinians and their supporters for further “escalation of resistance”. That night a rocket from Gaza was intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome.

December 1st

Along with the above violations and failing to provide a list of hostages for release, a condition stipulated to maintain the ceasefire, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fired rockets into Israel.
